Southcoast Boatworks is a growing mobile marine repair and restoration company specializing in fiberglass repair, varnish and woodwork, detailing, and general boat maintenance.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated technician or apprentice to assist with service work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, being around boats, and learning a skilled trade in the marine industry.

Interest in learning a skilled trade and working around boats is more important than previous marine experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fiberglass repair and gelcoat work

• Help with teak restoration, varnish and woodwork

• Perform detailing, polishing and bottom paint

• Load, organize, and maintain tools and equipment

• Occasional travel to job sites at marinas and boatyards

• Maintain a clean and professional work environment
  

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude or experience with tools

• Reliable and punctual

• Comfortable working outdoors and on boats

• Able to lift 50+ lbs

• Valid driver’s license
  

Preferred (not required)

• Marine industry experience

• Automotive or mechanical background

• Fiberglass or marine painting experience

• Boating or sailing knowledge
  

Compensation

• $20–$25 per hour depending on experience

• Overtime opportunities during peak boating season
